Status Codes

The following status codes are used in the spammed stocks listing.

probable/possible spammer

There are reasons to believe that the company may itself have sent spam to advertise its stock. You should treat any investment in this company with caution.

awaiting verification

The company has been contacted concerning UCE sent in its name, but no response has yet been received.

no response

The company did not respond to requests for clarification concerning spams related to its stock, but there is no other evidence to suggest that it sent the spam.

unable to verify

The company cannot be contacted by email in order to verify the origins of UCE sent in its name.

victim of third-party

UCE sent in the name of this company was sent by a third party unconnected with the company.

victim of pr agency

UCE sent in the name of this company was sent by a public relations agency or other third-party without the company's knowledge or approval.

retired

UCE was sent in error, and the company has now definitively abandoned the use of UCE to promote its stock.
